Euglena Research:
Unlike the other species, euglena research isn't self-centered. They study foreign cells and incorporate their qualities into their own colonies. They accomplish this by developing new abilities that resemble ones used by the enemy, and what they get depends on what the enemy has already got.
As euglena kill enemy cells, they collect their genetic data, which accumulates in their research pool. They have different gene pools for each species they encounter, and they expend these genes in order to conduct research. In addition, to research into some advanced qualities of the enemy, they need to study cells that have that quality first. For instance, they need to capture many paramecii who have chlorophyll before they can start to research photosynthesis.
